There is an Ancient System in Ayurveda which has kept many yogis in perfect health well past the 100 years old. It is based on intense stimulation of the endocrine glands. The endocrine glands are essential for a healthy body. All the techniques to stimulate the chakras can also stimulate the endocrine glands. Techniques include: breath, cleansing the nadis, moving energy, spinal Breathing and spinal cleansing and massage.

The endocrine glands are different from other glands in the body in that they are ductless, the hormones they produce are released directly into the bloodstream and so affect the entire body. The glands are closely related. A weakness in one gland will draw energy from the others. They serve to stimulate and repress each other to maintain balance. When all the glands are producing hormones at their optimal rate and in perfect balance with each other, the body does not age.
Those hormones are also essential in preparing the body to receive the Kundalini experience. You must be in optimal health for awareness to manifest. Otherwise you can’t handle the energy. In Tantra you can start at the physical level, working through sexual union to stimulate the sexual hormones. A high level of energy in your sexual glands is prerequisite for the tantric experience. Their energy can be distributed throughout the body to prepare it for Universal Consciousness.
Each chakra produces a “vortex” and, in a healthy normal person, spins at a great speed, controlling the psychic energy in the body. As we grow older, burdened by the stress of modern living, some chakras slow down so the energy goes out of balance. This leads to deterioration of the health of the body, and ultimately to its death.
This series of exercises is simple to do and requires only ten minutes to complete, once you become proficient. Look for exercises that can stimulate the endocrine glands and hence stimulate the circulation of oxygenated blood through the entire body and balance the life-energy in the chakras.
Some of these yoga movements may look like something you have done in the gym.
The yogic postures are designed to return the energy body to a balanced state, restoring the rate of spin of the chakras to the level of a normal twenty-five year old person. If the balance of the energy body is maintained eventually it will affect the physical body, causing the glands to once again secrete in perfect balance those hormones which are the key to radiant health and vitality.
