THE TONGUE- Foundation of the structure of your Face

Did you know that how prominent your jawline or how well defined your cheekbones are depend mostly on how you place your tongue in the mouth.
You can almost tell who are the people
Holding correctly their tongue posture. They have more attractive faces with chiselled jawline and high cheekbones.
This practice is known as orthotropics and is popularised by an orthodontist named Dr Mike Mew. Please check out his videos on a YouTube.
The ideal position of your tongue should rest wholly against your upper hard palate especially the back of the tongue. It should rest slightly behind the upper front teeth but not touching the teeth and your upper and lower teeth should gently meet. Keep this tongue posture for at least 4-5 hours a day and you can see your facial contours improves more aesthetically. People who have respiratory disorders may find this position uncomfortable or unusual but it should not be difficult. It is a matter of awareness and self discipline.
If you have a weak jaw contour, or a receding Chin you can improve your jawline without any surgery just with tongue posture change.
