MALE URINARY RETENTION 

Many years ago I once had a male ginger cat about one year old. Normal and healthy and suddenly one day he had problems urinating.   So I took him to the Vet.  The doctor said ‘???   And that they may need to perform a minor surgery and to insert a catheter and to give him medication and the catheter may need to be in place for a couple of weeks and…..’

I merely looked at her and in my mind I was thinking like how much is all that going to cost me. 

When she noticed my unresponsive expression, she finally said ‘or you could just give him vitamin c’.  I paid for the consultation took my cat home and gave him human vitamin c 500mg. 

And within a day he was back to normal 🙂
