Sometimes it is difficult to understand God’s plans for us. Being a paraplegic is one of those issues. Perhaps through birth as in a congenital illness or through a disease or even an accident. A person may end up having mobility issues.

Being a person of handicap is one of them. Today I wish to discuss my healing experience with three such patients.

The first was an Indonesian. When he came to me for dysfunction therapy he had thankfully recovered from such a problem. Since he was a child he contracted poliomyelitis and became wheelchair bound. His parents sent him for acupuncture treatments every week. After a year or two he was able to get out of the wheelchair but had to rely on crutches to move about. Another year or weekly acupuncture treatments he was able to discard his crutches to move about. Today he walks fine. He is happily married with two adorable kids.

Another patient who was in his mid 30s did not have mobility issues. He sustained a spinal cord injury from falling out of the third storey window at age 22 in a foreign country. He injured his T12. From his T12 downwards he had no sensation. Urination would be through a catheter. And even though he was married he could do sexual things but had erectile issues.

The latest was 24 . He had a motorcycle accident which destroyed his T2 vertebrae. From T2 down he had no feeling. His surgeon gave him a 5% chance of recovery. Urination required using a catheter. Bowel movement is also problematic. This brave young man recently got married with ultra supportive parents.

For those with similar issues the only recourse I can see is to resort to weekly acupuncture treatments. Be patient and do not give up. Your will will find a way.
